Do good romance novels require a sex scene?

It seems to me that all the novels I've read that have been published in the last few years always have a hot n' steamy section in them. Maybe it's just me, but i thought there was so much more to a romance novel than just sex. What do you think a good romance novel requires?

Not at all!
Good romance novels only need love and trust. Not sex. It is not right.
If u want my opinion, sex isnt the best part in books. I think it makes them worse. (my opinion!!)
